Plaza Branch and Central Library will open late at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 due to the Kansas City Marathon.
More and more of our healthcare is moving online, and that's a great opportunity to learn a few new skills at your own pace. This class helps you build real confidence, from spotting trustworthy health websites to setting up your own email and learning to navigate an online calendar.
These skills set you up for success when it's time to access your patient portal, with how-to guides and hands-on help available. A health resource specialist will guide you every step of the way, so no experience is needed.
Bringing your own laptop, tablet, or phone is recommended. The library will have a limited number of computers available for patron use.
All participants will receive a doctor's appointment log book. Attend both workshop sessions to earn a telehealth success kit with helpful tools like a webcam, lighting, and headphones.
This class is limited to 15 participants.
If you need ADA accommodation to use Library services or attend Library events and programs, please notify us at least 3 business days in advance at 816.701.3409 or ADA@kclibrary.org. (TTY access available via 711 or 866.520.7309 for Spanish.)
The Kansas City Public Library could be videotaping and taking photos for possible inclusion in marketing and promotional communications.
