ShockCentral Film Group: 'Scream'

Series: Central Cinema, Halloween Happenings

Each month, the ShockCentral film group invites you to join us for a free screening of a scary movie in the Durwood Film Vault followed by a short, relaxed discussion hosted by library staff Tori and Cullen.

Join us this October as we discuss Wes Craven's iconic slasher, the original 1996 Scream! In this stylish, self-aware horror-comedy, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her friends fight to stay alive, save their small town and unmask Ghostface, a sarcastic killer who's obsessed with scary movies. Both a playful love letter to classic slashers as well as a fresh twist on the formula, this surprise smash hit spawned a beloved franchise and revived the slasher subgenre for years to come.
