Award-winning writer, critic, and editor John Freeman continues to flex his literary muscle, editing a new anthology, Tales of Two Americas: Stories of Inequality in a Divided Nation, and publishing his first collection of poetry, Maps.

The founder of the biannual Freeman’s and former editor of Granta joins local novelist and Writers at Work series organizer Whitney Terrell in a public conversation about the two new releases. Terrell, an assistant professor in the University of Missouri-Kansas City English Department and author of three novels, is one of 36 acclaimed writers featured in Tales of Two Americas.

The Writers at Work series is co-sponsored by the Writers at Work Round Table and the UMKC English Department.
