Plaza Branch and Central Library will open late at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 due to the Kansas City Marathon.
Do you enjoy video games, but need a little variety in your play? Then Sunday Game Spotlights have you covered! Every Sunday in the Bluford Teen Area, we'll be playing indie games and lesser-known titles to expand our gaming horizons. While we play, we'll dig deep into it to discuss its design, mechanics, aesthetics, and so much more! Learn creative skills and practice critical thinking while having fun with other players!
This November, revisit a classic of video game history with the 2021 remake of The Oregon Trail! Guide a party of travelers from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City while overcoming grueling trials, fighting starvation, and tending to your sick. Along the way, experience new scenarios that are unique to this version of the game, including Native American stories and experiences from Native scholars!
The Oregon Trail contains alcohol and tobacco references, crude humor, mild language, and mild violence. Ages 10-18 only.
