Plaza Branch and Central Library will open late at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 due to the Kansas City Marathon.
The Kansas City Public Library is excited to partner with the Copper Boyz for a special community event featuring a screening of the film followed by interactive experiences for all ages. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the Copper Boyz, interact with horses and ponies, participate in arts and crafts activities, learn new skills through hands-on play activities such as lassoing and double dutch, explore a curated collection of African American literature from the Lucile H. Bluford Branch, and enjoy opportunities for reading, learning, and community connection. We also hope to offer food and refreshments through the support of local community partners, creating a welcoming celebration that brings together storytelling, culture, literacy, and family fun.
Copper Boyz: Sharing the Saddle is a local public television program presented by Kansas City PBS
